What do you consider your team’s greatest achievement? It is that the staff host in their own home, they don’t work there, they belong to the place and the place belong to them . I think people feel the team receive them in their house , and then easily, the house becomes theirs own.
What do you most value in a hotel for your own holidays? Clean, relax , silence and nicely decorated, the people are for me very important too. I need an interaction. Then the food for me is a huge part, but of course in cities, its not so important as you find many restaurants.
What is one place nearby that every one of your guests should discover? We are at 23 km from Marrakech ! But in the village our host can visit an old kasbah that still belong to the family.
What is your dream journey? It depends where I am! I like to hang out in the kitchen deciding the menu, visiting my garden and talking to my guests. Then i like to be home and relaxing, reading or listening to music. In Hollidays, its different, we laugh, we swim all day long and eat, a lot.
What local dish do you never tire of eating? It’s the couscous !
What motivated you to become a hotelier? I think it became something natural after a personal evolution, i work in Fashion, Interior Design and Public relation, i run a restaurant, a jazz club, and i work in interior design in renovating riads for clients in Morocco. All those experiences were bringing me in the wish of bringing my own vision. It a lot about emotion, i wanted to bring back myself as the hosts in a dreamy place, into childhood.
What was your greatest extravagance in creating your hotel? Well it was to do it , because it took a few years to have the authorizations . The building itself was weardly easy, we created the place from scratch, basicallly with the earth of the buildings.
Where do you feel happiest on your property? Everywhere, but I love especially the garden and the kitchen .
